The setlement process of the migrants in Italy, even if more recent in comparison with other central and nordic European countries, lead to many socio-economic and spatal challenges at the local level. For the second generatons the school integraton appears to be one of the crucial step which could (or could not) bring to an inclusive society and discourage a path of a kind of downward assimilaton toward the host society. The artcle explores the Ladispoli case, showing an interestng innovaton policies where local and internatonal administrators coordinate a multcultural project, with an important agency role for the second generatons leaded by the local school.
